NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the City of Elba, Alabama’s Appropriate Municipal Official, pursuant to Ordinance No. 07252016F, has made a finding that a building located on the following described property is a dangerous building because it is unsafe to the extent that it is a public nuisance and is subject to demolition:
STREET ADDRESS: 716 Putnam Avenue
LEGAL DESCRIPTION: A lot or parcel of land located in the City of Elba, Coffee County, Alabama, and being more particularly described as follows: Commencing at a point where the back of the sidewalk on the south side of Davis Street intersects the back of the sidewalk on the west side of Cordelia Avenue; thence S 02°24’ 00” E along the back of the sidewalk on the west side of Cordelia Avenue 265.80 feet to a point; thence S 88°05’ 00” W 162.56 feet to the point of beginning; thence continue S 88°05’ 00” W 38.00 feet to a point; thence N 03°02’ 0” W 64.79 feet to a point; thence N 86°31’ 00” E 35.14 feet to a point; thence S 0548’ 41” E 65.88 feet to the point of beginning. Said property being located in the SE ¼ of the SW 1/4, Section 8, T5N, R20E, and containing 0.055 acre, more or less.

All persons interested in said property are hereby notified that if the unsafe or dangerous condition is not remedied by demolition of said building on said property within 45 days of May 18, 2017, the demolition will be accomplished by the City and the cost thereof assessed against said property. In the meantime, it is ordered that said building and said property be and remain vacated.
